Our Model in Three Simple Steps

  • You Donate: Choose your preferred fund.

  • We Generate Yield: Your principal is held securely and generates returns.

  • Charities Receive Funding: The yield is distributed to our charity partners.

The Traditional Fund

For donors who prefer a traditional, regulated approach to philanthropy, the Traditional Fund offers a robust and secure way to create lasting impact. Your donation is not spent; it is invested to generate a reliable income stream for our charity partners.

How It Works (Step-by-Step): You Donate to the First Capital PLC Account: Donors will transfer their money directly to the dedicated First Capital PLC account. This is the official and secure account for the Eden Foundation's Traditional Fund in Sri Lanka. Please email us with your deposit confirmation. This allows us to track your donation, issue an official receipt, and ensure it is allocated to the fund immediately. Learn more about First Capital PLC, our trusted custodian and investment partner. (https://firstcapital.lk/) First Capital PLC Generates Yield: As a registered custodian and financial institution, First Capital PLC is responsible for managing the fund's assets to generate interest and yield. The principal of your donation remains intact, serving as the basis for this continuous income. Monthly Distribution to Charities: On a monthly basis, the interest and yield generated by the fund are transparently split among our white-listed charity organizations. These funds are then directly transferred to the charities' bank accounts, providing them with a steady and predictable income to support their crucial work. Transparency: All our monthly distribution reports are available on our Transparency page.

The Crypto Fund

For donors interested in leveraging the potential of digital assets, our Crypto Fund provides an innovative and efficient method of creating philanthropic impact. We've chosen a reputable, institutional-grade platform to manage these assets responsibly.

  • Important Legal Notice: The Eden Foundation is mindful of the laws and regulations in Sri Lanka regarding cryptocurrencies. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has issued warnings about the risks of virtual currencies and has stated that it has not granted any licenses for entities to operate such schemes. Therefore, we strongly advise donors to get in touch with us personally to inquire about this fund before proceeding. We are committed to full compliance and transparency and will guide you through the process based on the current legal landscape.

    • Contact us directly to discuss the Crypto Fund.

How It Works (Step-by-Step): You Contact Us: Due to the regulatory environment, the first step is to contact our team to discuss the donation process for the Crypto Fund. We will provide you with the necessary guidance and information. Yeild Generation via Nexo: For donors who choose this path, the fund's assets are currently managed on the Nexo platform. We utilize this platform to generate yield on stablecoins (USDT/USDC). Nexo is an institutional-grade platform with robust security measures and a proven track record. Quarterly Distribution to Charities: To optimize efficiency and minimize transaction costs, the yield generated by the Crypto Fund is consolidated and transferred to our white-listed charity organizations every three months. This quarterly distribution provides a significant financial boost to their operations. Details on the yield generated and the quarterly distribution to charities will be included in our official Transparency Reports.
